Accura Healthcare approached ELEMENT ZERO_SIX with a new product for fast paced living. AM:Angel comprises four tablets that reduced the affect of excessive alcohol consumption. The tablets maintain a chemical balance in the liver that is affected by alcohol. These tablets have to be taken at specific times; two prior to a night out and two after. This process needed to be reinforced by a tailored pill delivery system.
To maintain consumer loyalty and reduce waste the client also wanted an attractive and resilient pill case that could be used again and again.
Research into consumer trends informed user profiling and allowed us to identify the target demographic for this product; from their daily routine to the type of newspaper they buy. This directed a broad concept generation process which was distilled down into a range of concepts from the conservative to the experimental. From this shortlist, 3D sketching allowed us to test the functional aspects of the pill delivery system.
The challenge was to produce an engaging interactive element that was also cost effective. A unique casing design which interfaced with the form of the blister pack was explored in detail using rapid prototyped PU parts. This process enables us to produce life like models which were also functional and allowed the client to make informed and confident decisions about the design.
An elegant and unique casing design utilises the form of the blister pack and interfaces with the blisters themselves. This provides an engaging interactive element with the product through a cost effective one part casing.
The one shape incorporates the brand logo and a translucent K resin allowing the user to see which pills have been taken already. We worked directly with the injection moulders and liaised with the blister pack manufacturers to address every detail.
The product is currently being launched in the USA.
