Tom joined ELEMENT ZERO_SIX after graduating with a first class degree from Brunel University. He believes passionately in sustainable product design, and that user centred innovation can truly help bring about a positive shift in people's attitudes and behaviour.
Tom's intuitive creative talents stem from a love of sculpture, initially undertaking an Art Foundation diploma. Since turning his attention to product design and following an advantageous spell at Morphy Richards, Tom's degree work has been published in Eureka magazine, and earned him a nomination for the James Dyson Innovation of the Year award (New Designers in London 2007) - Tom demonstrated how bimetals can be used to directly harness sunlight to power mechanical movement.
Tom is a very logical and practical problem solver with excellent skills in model making and dry stone walling. He is also a keen traveller and participant in all sports, much preferring to spend time actively in the outdoors, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
